Spring Break Shake
Joy footage and Cut Stone productions have been killing it lately. Every single edit that has been coming from both of the crews have been sick, not to mention they are all shot on our local mountains. Here’s their latest edit, Spring Break Shake. Check it out!
PS. Grouse has been getting tons of snow lately, and it’s April! chyea.

Quick Edit From The Quickpark
Here is a little edit I came up with from riding the quickpark last week
Enjoy!
An Update
The cut jump line daswasup. As most of you already know the new jump line is beyond amazing. I’ve been lucky enough to get lots of shredding in lately. My buddy Ryan Hirakida brought his camera up the other day, unfortunately the fog had rolled in just as we arrived, but that did not stop him from getting some great shots.

Sunny Sunday Edit
Grouse has been beyond amazing these past days. With the park being in great condition and the sun shining, I have been fortunate enough to get some riding in. Here’s an edit I made of a Sunday ride. Check it out!
Look out for more edits coming soon,

Weekend Edit
It’s dumping snow here right now at Grouse and now that we are putting a mellow week behind us, it’s about time that we’ve got some snow. Despite all the rain and slush, I had time to get some weekend laps in with my buddies. I was stoked to get some footy with my new camera and make an edit.
Check it out!
Look out for more edits coming soon.

It’s Snowing, It’s Snowing!
Good news, there’s fresh snow on the ground. The recent dip in temperatures have resulted in a frosting on all the locals. Much needed frosting, to say the least. Let’s hope the temperatures stay low and the base starts to build up so the park crew can get more going in the Quiksilver park. Not to say what they’ve provided us with given the conditions isn’t absolutely phenomenal. You guys kill it! Anyways, that’s all I really wanted to say. Also, if you really want to know what my unfiltered thoughts are on snowboarding, the Olympics and life in general, feel free to get on Twitter and follow my useless banter or get in touch with me. Or don’t. Your call, really.
PS: I miss riding with Jordan Johnstone and Max Buchanan. If you’re reading this, go riding more.
Here are some more pictures from the Oakley Night Jam, taked by one of our latest additions to Grousepark.com, Hamish Baxter. Our bloggers kill it!

One Lap With Corey Mcintosh!
On Tuesday night, we headed up grouse for a little bit of night riding. I met up with Corey Mcintosh and decided since it was such a clear night maybe it was the time to take some photos in the quik park. I am not very good with cameras…yet, but they are still pretty good shots of him. This was our first lap and my camera died right after this, but we had a great time! Then I decided it was only necessary to try and turn him blue, because that is what computers can do these days!

More Quik Park
This Christmas break has been quite an interesting one. We have been lucky enough to run into only a few cloudy days and almost none of the typical rainy, miserable conditions that Vancouver is famous for. Still, everything has its downside. Next to no precipitation and consistent cold temperatures have lead to hard pack conditions, which are especially noticeable when the sun sets. However, with the help of Grouse Mountain’s fleet of snow makers this Christmas break, the park crew has done a good job of keeping things up to standard. Speaking of Park Crew, Shayan and I did a few filming laps with Ryan and Tom (and a quick cameo by Quentin Deboice!) when they weren’t doing maintenance and Shayan threw this little edit together. Enjoy.
Flash Photography
As we get deeper into December, the days are getting shorter and the countdown to the 21st of the month continues. Now why is December 21st so special? From a figurative stand-point, it is the shortest day of the year. So with the days getting shorter, the hours of available light are fading away with them. With this in mind, I decided it was time to buy an external flash for my camera. So after spending a few days of contemplating what to get, I ended up settling for something cheap to learn the basics with. A Canon Speedlite 270EX to be exact. Yesterday, I finally managed to get out to Grouse for the afternoon and early evening and get some shooting done. I spent most of yesterday shooting in the newly opened Quiksilver terrain park with fellow tight-pant wearing skiers, Bryce Mclean and Peter Warkentin.
So without further ado, here are the results from my first day of shooting with the new flash.
Bryce Mclean with a shifty-on to the down box.
Peter Warkentin, same trick, different feature.
Thanks for reading, more pictures and content will be coming soon!
