Corkin’ with Turpin
What up Grouse,
Anybody who’s looking to step up their jump game and learn some corks this year should check this out.
It’s a quick trick tip from Armada’s Chris Turpin, who I was lucky enough to join on the chair and get some help with my own tricks. His coaching method seems to help people progress very fast, and he is very knowledgeable. If you really like his coaching style and want to meet him yourself, he coaches every summer at Momentum and can always be seen around Whistler in the winter.
And I have just come from a day in the Whistler parks, and I am proud to say Grouse’s rail lines at least as good at Whistler’s, even better in some aspects. Props to the park crew.

The 10/11 Blogospondent Search is On!
Are you the next grousepark.com blogospondent? Well you won’t know unless you apply!
Have you ever thought about a future in the snow sports industry? Ever wondered what it would be like to work for EXPN, Newschoolers, Snowboard Canada or SBC Skier? Maybe you want to become a cinematographer for Alterna Films or Poor Boyz Productions? Do you want to build skills that will help get you on the road to where you want to go? This might just be the way.
We’re excited to announce the third year of grousepark.com. The major success of the site is finding a fresh crew of blogospondents to make the site what it is. SO…we’re looking for a new group of 5 Grouse Park Blogospondents – snowboarders or skiers, guys or girls – to hone their skills as and network with the best in the industry.Maybe you’re one of them?
Hey Guys!
Hey there, my name is Jeremy Cox. I am stoked to be one of the 09/10 Grouse Mountain blogospondents and can’t wait to share the latest and greatest content throughout the year. Grouse Mountain has become my home mountain ever since I learned to ski at Mount Seymour and Whistler when I was five. Living 20 minutes away from Grouse I can often be found skiing or filming. I would consider filming my hobby and can commonly be seen carrying around a enormous camera bag as long as the the weather is good and the riders are there. I hope to pump out the edits all year long which will be posted on the FOURTYFOUR media Vimeo page and of course here.
On that note, be sure to check out the the new Voleurz Outdoor Graduation film this Wednesday during the online premier.
December 9th at 5pm PST / 8pm EST on Newschoolers.com. or the Voleurz site.
Thanks for reading,
Jeremy
To Be 13 Again…

Hey all you ski groms,
Turning 19 means you’re legal in BC. 21 means you’re legal in the States. 18 means you’re legal all around the world EXCEPT the States and Canada. But, if you’re younger than 13, you could have a shot at being the next K2 grom. Remember Sean Petit? See how he blew up? You could be k2′s next Sean Petit. Newschoolers.com, Sean Petit and K2 Skis bring you the PG>13 contest. It’s simple. If you’re younger than 13, get a video together, send it in and you could will a FULL sponsorship from K2 Skis. Note that I said full sponsorship, just just a free pair. You get to give your input about design and all that fun stuff. Make your way over to Newschoolers.com and get your video in. Oh, and Sean picks the winner. I think that’s all you need to know. Now go filming.

JOSS: The sceret goods.
A good friend of mine, Andreas Amble, is attending JOSS right now. He is working with Friflyt Magazine, a Norwegian ski and snowboard magazine. Andreas is a very smart man. He knows that people want to see what’s going on at JOSS. If you’ve been checking Jon Olsson’s videoblog, josupersessions.com, Jacob Wester’s blog, or the Newschoolers.com blog, you would know that everyone at JOSS seems to be a little hush hush on showing the goods.
This is were Andreas comes in. Check out his edit from Trysil, Norway and the Sweet Rumble. It may not be the most professional video but it gives you a great idea of what is going down.
While you’re at it, check out Andreas’ blog…try to be forgiving of his English, it’s his second language.
