Winter Season Starts Saturday
So for those of you who haven’t been refreshing the winter mountain report all morning, the announcement has gone out: Grouse Mountain’s 82nd winter season starts tomorrow at 8:30 am.
Paradise and the new Greenway Chair will get us started this season. Stay tuned throughout the weekend and next week for updates on more terrain. We’re working as diligently as we can to hurry up and get the mountain covered, snowmaking when we can and doing our snow dances when time permits.
Getting some park features up is a priority for us, and as soon as snow levels permit we’ll get some freestyle terrain open. I’ll try to update as news comes to me, so check back when you can, or keep an eye on the Winter Mountain Report.
New Peak and Greenway Chairs set to open in December
Here’s a little CTV News coverage of the two new chairlifts being built:
These lifts should help to divert traffic from the Screaming Eagle (Cut) Chair because people will now be able to easily get from the bowl to the Peak and out to the chalet via the Greenway chair, without ever having to head down the Cut to avoid hiking across the flats.
