Snow in the City!
As I’m sure you saw, Vancouver has recently been blanketed with a covering of fluffy white snow. And what do we do when it snows in the city? Slide some handrails! On Sunday, with a crew composed of Myself, Shawn Greensides, Christopher Peake and Ben Funk, we headed out to do a little bit of urban. Though it turned out to be a little wet, we still had a great time, and hit some features we’ve been looking at for awhile. Everyone got some tricks they were stoked on, and all in all it was a great day! Below is a little edit of all the great crashes from the day.
And with all this new snow, Grouse is in PRIME condition. Bye for now!
Quick Edit From The Quickpark
Here is a little edit I came up with from riding the quickpark last week
Enjoy!
Shop Guy of the Week!
Hey Gang,
Yours truly made it onto the Rome Snowboards site as SHOP GUY OF THE WEEK! Stoked!
I gave a shout out to Grouse on there too

Self Edit
As most of you know, winter break ended with bluebird skies. I was able to get up for the last week and do some shooting with David Lu. I ended up getting some descent tricks on film so he put together a little self edit for me. Enjoy!
Hope to see everyone out at the Oakley Park Jam on January 15th. Should be sick
Simon.
Corkin’ with Turpin
What up Grouse,
Anybody who’s looking to step up their jump game and learn some corks this year should check this out.
It’s a quick trick tip from Armada’s Chris Turpin, who I was lucky enough to join on the chair and get some help with my own tricks. His coaching method seems to help people progress very fast, and he is very knowledgeable. If you really like his coaching style and want to meet him yourself, he coaches every summer at Momentum and can always be seen around Whistler in the winter.
And I have just come from a day in the Whistler parks, and I am proud to say Grouse’s rail lines at least as good at Whistler’s, even better in some aspects. Props to the park crew.

An Introduction: It’s Dylan!
Hey all,
My name’s Dylan Gillespie and I’m super stoked to be one of the Grouse Park bloggers for this season! I’ve been skiing Grouse all my life, and got into the park/freeski scene a few years ago, though I love doing anything with skis on my feet. I live really close to Grouse, so you can be sure to see me lapping the park on weekends and after school. If you see me, stop me and say hi! I’m usually wearing a orange jacket or black hoody, and blue pants. I always enjoy meeting someone new and spining laps with another stoked rider!
Now overall, the weather’s been pretty good this season which has let the Grouse Park Crew put together an AMAZING park setup, week after week. Add a bunch of new and improved features for them to work with, and you’ve got one of the best parks Grouse has seen in a long time. So be sure to get up there as soon as you can and check out either the Quiksiver Park or the Paradise Jib Park, both of which are sweeeeet right now.
I will be posting numerous edits, photos, and videos thoughout the season, and you can check those out on my Vimeo page and my Flickr page (which shall be set up with content in the near future).
In the mean time, here are a couple of my favourite photos from my past season.

I’m not going to sit here and claim I’m any good at photography, because I’m not. I’m really hoping to improve this year, because right now, I can’t tell the differance between f-stop and flash sync. But very, VERY rarely I can sometimes click the shutter button on my Casio point-and-shoot at the right moment, which I was luckily able to do here.

That’s all I got for now guys, but keep checking back for more great updates from me and my fellow bloggers.
Peace!

An Introduction: It’s DJean!
Hi!
My name’s Jean Lavigne, and this season I have been chosen to be on board blogging for grousepark.com. I’m a snowboarder and a Grouse local. I’ve been snowboarding since I can remember and since then I’ve always called Grouse home. The last four winter seasons I’ve spent working up Grouse as a snowboard instructor teaching kids of all ages how to shred! I live on the North Shore and when I’m not at work or schooling, you can find me up Grouse lapping the park or hunting down pow on the Olympic Chair. I normally come up alone but always meet up with the shred posse, so if you ever see me around give a shout, I’m always down to cruise. THE MORE THE MERRIER!! Something else I’m really passionate about is music, and when I’m not busy with the above, I’m either listening or finding new music. I put together mixes under the alias DJEAN, so you can look out for some bangin’ mixes from me this season or from other local riders who too love to jump on the VDJ tables.

Look out for some edits and photos from me this season of all things awesome up Grouse, especially the park, we all know the talk about the snow this season, hopefully that pulls through because no doubt with enough the Quicksilver Park is going to be killin’ it.
Make sure to get Djean on Facebook, for all updates on the music side, Here’s a link to some of my older mixes, and I’ve got some in the works too so look out for those. Stoked to meet all the fellow park rats!
PEACE,
Jean.
An Introduction: It’s Andrew!
Hey Guys and Girls,
I’m Andrew Santos, I’ve been both a snowboarder and videographer for over three years. I live in Burnaby and I’m attending Burnaby Central Secondary School. I’m currently living in my parents basement, but that’s okay because I’m 16 years old. Any day I get to ride is a good day for me and if I’m not at school, you can usually find me on the slopes. With a handful of new camera gear, I will be giving you guys the full update on what’s going on this season. I have no doubts in my mind that this is going to be killer year and I’m so stoked to be one of your Grousepark bloggers for this season. If you see me on the mountain feel free to give me a shout, I’ll be the guy with the purple Grenade jacket and I’ll usually have some sort of camera in my hands. I’m Andrew Santos, that’s a little about me and I’m looking forward to seeing you guys on the slopes.
Later!
