Grouse Mountain 24 Hours of Winter: Recap

Another year, another 24 Hours of Winter. With the torch relay at 9pm, Park Jam at 11pm, and a party at Altitudes until 4am, the event was jam-packed. Andrew Santos and I headed out with the goal of recapping the jam, but we ended up doing much more. Midnight wings, 6am Tai-Chi, a sweet sunset session with park riders Adrian Tongko and David Joncas, and much more packed into this great night. Check out the photos by myself and video by Andrew Santos below!

Where there's ketchup, there's hotdogs

DJ Plan B flawlessly segued tunes together as the jam went on

The down rail, c-rail and pontoon was where the party was at

Lights out at the top of the cut. Must be an annual thing

This guy. Skied for half the jam, then borrowed a board and rode in his ski boots for the second half. Check the video for proof!

Park crew James Frost was armed with the task of throwing free gear. Morgan Drewitt was focused more on stomping this than the free stuff

The deciding trick for the boarders was a nose-press back 180 on the c-rail, David Joncas shows us how it's done

David Joncas stayed up all night itching to hit the jump first thing in the morning

And with that, the snow clouds rolled in. Check out the sun rays in the background
