February – Wanted List

- Volcom – Military
- Brixton – Face Mask
- Poler Stuff – Heat Bags
- Celtek – Radar Mittens
- Capita X Volcom – DBX
- Union – DLX
- Drink Water – Stickers
- Herschel – Little America
Recently returning from touring America I was inspired to make a ‘Wanted List’ for men. February brings unpredictable weather and usually the last burst of cold winter and snow in BC. With the weather in mind I am starting it off with next seasons Volcom camo outerwear paired with a full face mask from Brixton. Keep your hands warm with the innovative reusable heat bags from Poler Stuff and some good looking black leather gloves from Celtek. Next is a Capita X Volcom Dan Brisse all terrain colab board and Union DLX bindings – Travis Rice rides Union bindings, why don’t you? Then some Drink Water stickers to slap on your board as a friendly reminder to… drink water. Pack everything else into a locally designed Herschel backpack and your good to go.

DC Scavenger Hunt & 24 Hours of Winter
We went up to Grouse for the 24 Hours of Winter to try our luck on the DC Scavenger Hunt. We searched around the whole mountain but our eyes were not peeled enough to find one. The hidden frisbees, if found, were redeemable for prizes in the lodge! Lots of people were on the lookout and the frisbees were being tracked down left and right. Unfortunately I guess I don’t have the right skills for this game, but many were very successful on the foggy night!

The Canucks game had begun in the mist with snow-made stands.

Runs were fun to rip around, the snow was soft and the bumps were prime! Shreddable all night.

This dude was hyped on his find!!

Grouse Park Trick Tip with Rob Morrison
Here is a quick Grouse Park Trick Tip with Rob Morrison. It was filmed a couple weeks ago in the original Cut park. If you haven’t been up since then the Quiksilver park is top notch. Be sure to check it out this 24hrs of Winter kicking off today Saturday, February 11.

Grouse Park Playlist 4 – Paparazzi

A playlist is like a recipe. You need to put in the right ingredients and the right amount of each ingredient or else whatever you are cooking is going to come out tasting like crap. I listen to music every time I ride. The tracks a play depend on what I’m riding. When I am riding rails in the park I am more likely to listen to Hip Hop and Remixes. If it is a powder day I will probably put on some Indie or Classic Rock. I put this playlist together for riding Grouse Park to keep you moving. I worked on the recipe simmering a bunch of Electro Pop and Indie sounds, adding some new and old tracks for flavour and a dash of Remixes to give it the right texture.
- Heartbeats (Extended Mix) – Grum
- Devil’s Work – Miike Snow
- Strictly Game (Kid’s at the Bar Remix) – Harlem Shakes
- I Want You – Summer Camp
- Oh Yeah (Nighty Max Remix) - Housse Da Racket
- Shuffle on a Dream – Little Dragon
- Fail Forever – When Saints Go Marching
- Not In Love (ft. Robert Plant) – Crystal Castles
- Staring At The Sun (TV On The Radio – Diplo
- The Drummer – Niki and the Dove
- NY Is Killing Me – Gil Scot-Heron ft. Jamie xx
- Embrace – Pnau ft. Ladyhawke
- Heartbeat (Chase and Status Remix) – Nneka
- Household Goods – Totally Enormous Dinosaur
- Little Girl (MSTRKRFT Remix) – Death from Above 1979
- Gothstar – Pictureplane
Listen, stream and share the Grouse Park playlist #4 – Paparazzi here.
Our next playlist will be songs that we play in the park. You asked for it on Facebook and we will bring it to you here on grousepark.com. Have fun at 24 Hours this weekend!

Sunny Park Laps @ Grouse Park
Straight from the Quikpark
I have to say that both the Cut Line and Quikpark are prime right now. Did a couple laps yesterday and I was having way too much fun. I brought out the camera for the last run. Here are the results.

These are only three of the many features that are up right now. Come up and check it out! Photo creds to Kaz Yamamura and a big shout out to the Park Crew.
