Quiksilver Showdown Over the City
With the city in view, the Quiksilver Showdown ran full-blast last Sunday. All riders were throwing down and out of the many competitors, the results came down to Zach Stone landing the Best trick, Bobby Balharry placing third, Jeremy Cloutier placing 2nd and Eric Willet with the win.
With my t2i in hand and riders throwing down, I was stoked to get to film these guys. Check out the edit!
The boys are back in town
The Whistler boys were in town for a couple of days so I brought the 7D out to shoot some pictures with them up Grouse. The conditions weren’t the best but they were all throwing down regardless, stomping some of the best tricks these Grousepark features have ever seen. Like I said, conditions were not ideal but I managed a couple of alright shots regardless.

See you all at Showdown,
Frodo.
Monday Night Sesh.
Here’s a little edit of a late night sesh up at Grouse last week. Riders are Michael Granger, Simon Stulberg, Dylan Gillespie, Sam Fedak, Maxime Cyr-Morton, Nicola Cyr-Morton, and more. It was a great night cruisin the park and just having a good time. Here’s the edit. Enjoy!
PS. Don’t forget to head up for the next Oakley night jam, this Friday! I’ll be up there and hopefully all of you will be too! It’s going to be sick!
Peace!

Sunny Days in Grousepark
Unfortunately this year has not been the stormiest winter in 50 years. It has not been the La Nina season the weatherman promised us. We have not been skiing endless deep pow days. But you know what, that’s ok with me. Thankfully the park crew has held it down and has continued to help the park stay better than it has ever been in previous seasons, and this season I’ve come to the realization that a sunny park day with your good friends can be just as great as a deep pow day. A recent sunny Saturday, a good portion of the old crew was in town and we had a damn good day riding a pristine jump line and the rails of Quik park. Shane Craver busted out his camera for a good portion of the day and came out with these stunners. I haven’t had a decent shot of myself skiing for a couple of season, so it was nice to get down on the other side of the lens for once. Thanks Shaner, you did good work.

Nipwitz
Have you ever heard of Nipwitz? If not, you will soon. These guys from Finland are set to burst onto the scene this season. Churning out multiple webisodes all last season, all of which match the quality of big hitters like Level 1, these creative jibbers are taking urban, and filmmaking, to the next level. Here is their first webisode of the season:
Check out their website for information and updates, and you can watch their epidodes from last year here.
And you probably don’t need me to tell you this, but the park crew is killing it right now. I was up Monday night, new features include super fun cannon pontoon, elbow kink in a new place, and a soon-to-be-open rebuilt #4 jump on the cut line. And Y2Plays are now on sale too, so get up here!

This video just got posted, this is so rad! My good homie and work buddy, was the first official winner of Rome’s Ticket to Alaska!
This is a North American wide contest, and he won for selling the most Rome gear in all of Canada and the States!! It’s an all expenses paid trip to Alaska, where Rome flies you out and you spend a week shreddin and hangin with pro riders as they all come together to get some of the best terrain in the world! check out the site for more info here, Wooo!! So the other night pro Rome rider MFR (babe) and our rep Derrick, showed up at the back door with a big prize poster and confetti, and gave him the surprise of a lifetime. Beers and good times were had. It’s all in the footage here.
