Two videos in one day!? Unheard of, I know. Who do we think we are, Transworld? Last season, you all heard a great deal about Progressive Youth Productions, aka PYP. Their project from last season is all done and available on the interwebs as a free download. Free!? Yea, everyone loves free things. So, go check out the site, and check out the video linked below for viewing convenience. Pat King and Graeme Meiklejohn are back at it this season, aiming for a full length video. Hype, hype, hype, hype.
Filmed and edited by Pat King, Graeme Meiklejohn and Charlie Grinnell.
Since the season has started, we haven’t really had a chance to get any video content out of the jib park. This could also be due to the fact that low overcast makes for difficult filming conditions. Either way, Grouse local and Park Crew volly Shayan went up riding yesterday and threw together a little some’in some’in. Enjoy.
Just thought I’d give you a heads up on a pretty awesome softgoods (read: APPAREL!) sale going on right now. The good folks over at Zion Snowboards have sold out their entire 2010 board stock, pretty freaking rad for a local board company! To celebrate, they’re having an inventory clear out apparel sale on their website. Everything in the online shop is going for 50% off the retail price. You’ve got until December the 7th to get your web pages pointed to the Zion Snowboards Online Shop. Better hurry, if you want to get the right sizes, as stock is limited and flying out the so called interactive door. Here are the details, taken straight off the Zion site.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding the 2009/2010 Blogospondent search. Actually, just one. Have the bloggers been picked yet? Here’s what’s been going on in the Grouse Mountain Batcave.
Firstly, we have successfully developed a fully functional Grousepark.com replica of the late 70’s Batmobile. No joke, it’s there. So don’t be surprised if you see parachutes in the parking lot. We’ve gotta slow this baby down somehow.
Naturally, with all the work involved in developing such a sensational vehicle, we’ve had little time to review and short list applicants. All jokes aside, Michelle Evans has been doing her best to get things moving, but she’ll be going on maternity leave in a mere three weeks (on my birthday, coincidentally), so understandably she’s got a lot on her plate. We are trying our best, currently, to get things sorted on Thursday and hopefully announce the next contestants on the Price is Right…er, Grousepark.com, by the end of this week.
So, sorry for the delay, we’re working on it, we promise! See below for one of the perks you get if you ARE chosen as a blogger.
Not even available in stores. Who says writing for Grousepark.com doesn’t pay off?
With all the recent snowfall, the paradise jib park was rebuilt over the last couple of days. And it hasn’t stopped yet. With the Peak Chair now open, get your freshies in while the getting is good. We’ve been keeping real busy trying to keep up with nature, digging and pulling out rails.
Recently we’ve been trying to split our time between digging and painting and paneling the rails at the top of the Quiksilver Park. Hope you’ve all been enjoying the little setup and have been getting last years tricks on lock.
PS. look for some new features to be snow-ready real soon.
From with love,
Grouse Mountain Park Crew
Shaw, Marcus, Chris, Andrew, Dan, Tom, Conrad, Ryan, Adam.
Sorry this is being posted a whole two days after the actual opening. For those of you that missed it, Grouse Mountain has opened the early season jib park. There are 8 features set up. There’s a rainbow rail, butter box and flat box to start off the series, then there a cannon butter box which you’ll need to pump the rainbow rail for, a C rail hooking left into a flat bar, the Whale Tail box and a legit street style down rail. Basically, best early season park we’ve ever had. I took a couple pictures, but man, these cameras we get don’t work so well at night. My iPhone takes better pictures, I reckon.
Paradise jib park is up and running for the 2009/2010 winter season. Eight features were moved into our expanded terrain for some early season jib action.
With mother nature giving us some natural, and the snowmaking team at grouse adding to the snowbase, we were able to move some snow around and bring a progressive lineup of jibs. Check the pictures.
